You can add to your argument~if you still need to have one after reading this thread~that a chicken never severely bit a mail man or child, there are no chickens overwhelming our animal shelters, they don't need a spay or neuter program, they do not crow as many times as the average dog barks each day while outside, they provide a food source~as very few pets can, they will not be running loose in the neighborhood causing town employees to respond to a nuisance pet call, they are part of our nation's heritage and they provide a natural source of fertilizer for your gardens.
