We went to the feed store today to get Black Sex Links and found this cute little chick. The feed store did not know what it was and so I decided to give it a home, my kids named it Brownie. Wife is thinking Partridge Plymouth Rock.

It doesn't look much like our Partridge Rocks did. Here is a picture of them:

They didn't have any of the grey coloring. They had darker heads and very distinct chipmunk stripes. But I have no idea what it is! I am really curious because we have two bantams that look very similar and they're the only chicks we haven't identified. Was that one in the bantam bin?

Im trying to figure mine out also looks just like yours as a baby now its bigger.

Welsummers and Barnevelders have stripes down the backs. Guess it could be a breed other than those 3, but it looks like hatchery quality Partridge Plymouth Rock to me. Definitely a cute baby

No they were not in that bin but maybe the chick is a bantam although seems a little big for a bantam chick, time will tell.
