thanks so much, honestly that is a really bad pic of him he is stunning in real life.
ok was the guy that talked about blue shanks just messing with me then???? I can't find anything about blue shanks anywhere except on one rare breed and I don't understand how I would wind up with that???? is this just a case of the experts laughing their butts off at the thought of the newbie sitting around waiting for her "blue legged" chicks to hatch???? If so I can laugh at that myself, but I WANT TO KNOW!!!!
First round of chicks!!! I am sooo excited!
All nine of the eggs I put in the bator hatched. My biggest problem right now is these girls LOVE to lay gigantic double yolk eggs and I don't want to waste my time trying to incubate those.
All nine of the chicks came out a "new copper penny" color and have pinky/yellow legs, beards and muffs. Just wanted to share
too cute. some breeds do have "blue" shanks. It is actually more of a slate gray. Silkies are a good example, blue and back cochins, my blue sumatra has blue legs. don't ask how or why they are just "blue"
lol, thanks! they all have pinky yellow leggs and bottoms of their feet, do you think they will change in time? Iwas kind o fexpecting green leggs . . . blue (slate) and yellow make green, right? lol oh well!
