I understand, I have had it happen too. Still, you don’t know why that baby died and if assisting would have helped. This time, you know that they aren’t ready to hatch yet because of the blood. The membrane wasn’t dry. How has your humidity been? Did you add water during incubation or incubate dry?The reason I'm so nervous is because the same exact thing happened to us 1 month ago with our last batch. We waited and our duck died in the shell. I was devastated knowing he was cheeping the night before.
Humidity was all over the place this round. Bounced between 45 and 60 during incubation. Last three days have been a steady 70%.I understand, I have had it happen too. Sorry. We sell local. I can't imagine shipping that far out from New Jersey. That's a lot of stress on the little guys.Arkansas.

I think too high causes more problems than too low. You should be fine. Every time I hatch ducklings I end up on BYC worried they are taking too long. Nice people virtually hold my hand through it. We are all here to do that for you too.Humidity was all over the place this round. Bounced between 45 and 60 during incubation. Last three days have been a steady 70%.
Keep us updated.Thank you, really. This community has been so supportive since we started our first batch last month. We have 8 happy mallards, and one miracle runner named Teacup. He was the only survivor out of 7. The yolk was still attached and that's where he spent his first few days. In a teacup!I think too high causes more problems than too low. You should be fine.
