I guess try keeping up with the oil and massage and see how things go. Is he gasping at all? Sounds like he is coming around though, so that is great! If you are able, try to get your hands on some olive oil. It is great to cook with, and comes in handy with the chicks too.

I just say that because that is the oil I am most familiar and comfortable with using. But I am sure what you are using is just fine as well.

I have more hope than I did before! He was opening his beak a little but not as bad, he even took off running today when I put my hand in the brooder!

I have to put olive oil on my grocery list.
The other little one is still having issues with her eyes and I'm still washing them and putting the ointment in them, hope that will be better soon too!

Find a really small syringe put some water in it, open the chicks beak and stick the syringe down it throat and put some water down the chick.

Thanks guys!! He seems to be doing pretty good, eating and drinking and even running around some too!!

The other little one that was having trouble with her eyes they look a little better too!! I am so happy!!

I put some more of the ointment in her eyes and hopefully a few more times it will fix that up! I wish everyone good luck with their chicks too!!

In a way rasing chicks is really hard and painful, but in the end when you see all the work you put into them as healthy full chickens it is SO worth it.
