Please please please be a pullet!

i wanted that white/black EE

I think I may see a longish curly sickle feather. If I am seeing things, and it's not there, then my vote is pullet. But if that long tail feather is there, I say boy all the way. Black and white EE's are so hard!

Even though I don't see hackle/saddle feathers or an especially large comb, those are definitely sickle feathers so I say roo

OH NO! I see what you mean about the sickle feather

This is Dave, he is my alpha EE roo

This is another EE roo, Christina, he started crowing this week.

Another shot of Christina with Jill in the back.

Uggh!!!! I bought 8 and now all 8 are roosters!

I have 10 Buff Orps and four of them are roosters. I have 22 three week olds in the brooder but the are supposed to be sexed pullets. Then I have 16 eggs in the incubator.

I think I need a bigger freezer.

Yeah, there is absolutely no way that is a hen with that tail. That is really quite unfortunate, he is really pretty. Were they straight run from a hatchery? I've heard that sometimes hatcheries just send a bunch of roosters as straight run...
Christina is an awesome name for a rooster. I had a production RIR named Tallulah because I didn't know he was a rooster (he came from a "pullets" bin) til I saw him crowing, and even when I started hearing crowing I thought it was my Buff Brahma cockerel. He definitely wasn't a pullet, and I have his two sons who look just like him as proof!
