I've searched and searched but can't seem to find any decent pictures
of what a day 19-22 candled egg should look like.

Still looking....

That is gong to be a tough one since by day 19 you are supposted to be good and not open the bator. I've done it though and it preety much looks all black on day 19 and 20, with the air cell at the top and a small clear area near the pointy side. On day 20, you often can see the chick's beak poking at the airsac side of the egg, or even expanded though the air sac and taking up the space of the whole egg. Yeah, I don't listen to rules.

here you go

Thanks Silkie. I'm just trying to determine which eggs I have might still be
viable without opening them.

Not having good fortune with this batch and it's the most important batch
so far.

SilkieChicken is right Purple.
I had one pip yesterday with no change this morning,
so I took all 3 out and candled.
I heard peeps from the pipped egg and all 3 were black, even in the airsac so I assumed all three were fine.
Now I have 3 pipped eggs and one little rocker.
BTW, my three are those evil chickens you refer to on another thread.

Now Don, I thought you didn't candle any eggs

When I candled my 20 day'rs, they basically looked like about 60% of the egg was full of chick, and the rest was air cell. I could still see movement also.

I wasn't sure what to look for with the air cell being pipped -basically it looked like a shadow up in the air cell moving around - the chick never filled up the whole egg.

Does that help??

Hey, BTW since you are a Hoppy fan, he's got his own TV show... if you watch the chick-N-cam I set up long enough you'll see him/her hopping around on the one good leg. Link is in my signature...

Just went to the chick cam - OMG they are soooooooooooooooo cute and fun to watch. Im hopin to have 2 silkie chicks hatch this sunday/monday

SpeckledHen, Thanks. That is exactly what I was looking for.

Arlee, Yes it does help. Some of my eggs looked exactly like
that (60% chick).

From here on out I will be candling. This batch is turning out bad.
40% of my awesome eggs barely started forming. I know they were
fertile because of the sources.

My Delawares are turning out good.

Love the web cam. Please PM me with the equipment you are using.
