Anyway, I have (what I think is) a wheaten Ameraucana roo, but I need to be sure, as he looks really dark.

If you have a photo, please post.

Edited to add: Thanks for your help, I figured it out!! Didn't know wheaten ameraucana roos were so dark, not really wheaten at all like the hens. But thank you!

Have you got a pic? Wheaten males look much the same as many other types of male duckwing/wild type (e+), as in brown leghorn (light) or brown (eb) as in some patterned birds.
Do you have a reason to question whether or not he is wheaten?​

You guys, thank you so much!!! He is a Wheaten Ameraucana roo...and a beauty at that. I got a straight run of Blue Wheaten and Wheaten Ameraucana chicks and I got confused on the cockeral's colors.
