Please post pix of your pheasants. :]

Hey guys sorry this question is a little off topic, but do you think that monals or blue eareds will do ok in Florida's climate? I will be building a new aviary next year and am wondering what to put in it. I live in st augustine by the way and thought maybe too much humidity for those pheasants. Any advice would be great and ideas on what to put in would be helpful too. Thanks! ;)

The monels can be done. Its just really hard on them here because of the heat and because of west nile from all our skeeters. You might have to run fans or misters on top of plenty of shade. I had some for a couple of years before I lost them to west nile They were the only birds I ever had tested after death because I wanted to know why they suddenly died. I loved em that much. I may try Impeyans again. But I will have a screen enclosure around the pen to prevent the problem the best I can. The blue ears are fine here. I think I'm going to try Timmincks tragopans next year. I have Elliots, rinknecks, red goldens and siamese firebacks at the moment. My friend by me has Swinhoes, Edwards and Humes.
