Most property lines from by-gone years are or were marked with a stone wall.
The colors are gorgeous in Maine. This view is primarily yellow and quite intense.

Where I live, there's only pitch pine and scrub oak, so the most colorful thing is the poison ivy, which gets brilliant red.

The sumac gets a nice red too. Our sole poison ivy is golden yellow. We've got sycamore, oak and a couple of types of maples. The berries change on the hawthorn. I'll have to post pics too...nothing beats New England for fall colour.

The woods around our place haven't really changed yet. I took this a couple of days ago.

The cypress trees are usually the first to turn.
