Please pray for me...*UPDATED TODAY, MAY 11th* MRI RESULTS

I had bi-lateral carpal tunnel surgery and never looked back.

It made a huge difference in how I feel and I would have it again if I had to do it over.
I went years with horrible pain, tingling, numbness. Dropping things unable to grip things well and opening a jar? forget it.

The nerve conduction study was a walk in the park compared to what I had been suffering all those years.

Good luck in your decision!

I've had it for at least 20 years, but haven't had surgery for it since I'd have to pay out of pocket. It's always there, but the level of pain flucuates. There are times it burns to even touch certain points on my hand/wrist and then it will get better. Just saying....you don't have to surgery if you don't want to. You can learn to live with it. My dad had the surgery done and it didn't do him a bit of good so surgery isn't always a cure-all either.

Mine has gotten pretty bad...it hurts really bad to push down on something but not so much to pull? Twisting hurts really badly--like unscrewing a chick waterer or wrapping up eggs...

I have had the nerve conduction study ( twice!) Although it is NOT fun, it is tolerable. I had carpel tunnel in both hands. I had my right hand corrected through surgery. Who needs the left? LOL But ANYWAY...I wanted to give you a suggestion for opening jars, as I know this can be very painful/ impossible. Get those Rubbermaid rubber kitchen gloves. Works like a charm.

Thank you!! Actually, it started out with the dropping of things. I dropped an entire tub of potato salad at Wal-mart (between the cooler & my cart).

The grip thing has gotten better...but the burning is still there....and sometimes, my hand shakes, too...

Remember, one day, you will look back and all this will be just a memory. In the mean time, keep the faith. You WILL get through this! Prayer has been sent on your behalf.

I am so sorry to hear of the traumas your family has experienced! I am sending big hugs and prayers your way!
I do not have carpal tunnel syndrome, but there are times when I am working on the computer for hours on end for days on end my arm will begin to scream. A friend of mine suggested that I stand in a doorway, hand on each frame and lean forward and stretch the chest and shoulder muscles several times a day. Worked very well for me! Also, if you can find some Traumeel it's a great natural way to ease pain. It comes in pill and cream. I find the cream to be a better choice, but it is pricey. You'll find it at a natural foods store. Hope this helps!
