It's day 18, and I am just about to take out my automatic turner and put the eggs on their sides for hatching. What do I do with the thermometer, put it on the eggs and have them hatch underneath it? Then the chicks would knock it about?
My still air hova-bator doesn't hold its temperature well and i feel that I need to have the thermometer in there somewhere. What do others do in a full incubator!?

Use a couple of pieces of packing tape and tape it to the window. Remember that with the thermometer higher in the bator the temp will read a little high. that is what I do.

prop it against the side if you don't have the room. I tape mine to keep it still when I dont have the room to keep it out.
good luck on your hatch. I have two hatching as we speak.
