If you do get chicks this early, pick them up if you can! I appreciate the fact that we can get chicks this early. I wouldn't have them shipped, but being I can drive to the hatchery and back within a day, it works out great for people like me.

I agree: Chicksicles are not a good way to start a flock.

I talked to my SIL this morning as she works for the USPS. I told her about my situation and she don't understand why they can only ship on Saturdays, because they will set somewhere. She also said they are to put them in the front of the vehicle where it is warm.
