When the hawk attacked did an egg break inside of her??

It doesn't appear so... but there's always the possibility.

She's doing a bit better today, but still slightly lethargic.

Hi everyone,

With a saddened heart, I found Courtney unmoving in the coop this morning with her head under one of the perches. I believe she got in front of Gertrude (the smallest chick-like hen) when the hawk attacked, as she acts almost like a mother to Gertrude. Poor thing died so young.

I want to say thank you to everyone on this forum for creating a wonderful community and helping me with all sorts of things. I hope I'll be back with my 5 remaining friends.
