PLEASE READ young roo with snottie eye

You need to watch your flock very closely to be positive you aren't just masking symptoms of something potentially fatal to your flock. I had the same problem 8 months ago and it turned out to be ILT. It took 3/4 of my flock and the few it left were all carriers which had to be culled. I could not have a new flock for 4 months and had to purchase a plethera of broad spectrum treatments to prepare my grounds for raising birds again.

Any time I add birds from now on I will be vaccinating. It is HORRIBLE. Please take the time to be sure. It is a virus and even though they look like they get better and everything is ok, the first chill they get they will start to die if it is ILT. It is the main reason why I am here. The virus is all over the U.S.

As soon as "some," get a bird with the sniffles, they give it away or take it to the sale barn. Thus, the spread begins.
