With most livestock there are two different terminologies. Fullblood and Purebred.
A purebred has an uninterupted line all the way back to the parent stock while the fullblood will be considered 15/16 pure at best. No matter how much you breed to be pure in the fullblood line there will always be genetics there from the impure parent stock.
