I agree about those hackle feathers, although the comb isn't very red. Yet.
Every time I've 'wondered', it's been a cockerel. Hope not this time!

If the age is correct than it's not a cockerel.

I might be a week off and if that were the case, then he would be 16wks tomorrow and not 17wks. The breeder had new hatch and almost 2wk chicks in the same bin. So I could be wrong on my guess.

Cockerels show there look at 10 to 15 weeks old. So I seriously doubt you have one.

Hope you're right! I was so sidetracked finding 2 other roos and working to rehome and I just didn't pay any attention on Cheekers. I was so sure I chose a girl when I was choosing chicks in the bin.

I think it's a pullet, I would expect more comb development by now if it was a cockerel. I have one EE that has longer hackles, photos attached, a little hard to see on here but they show up more in person.
