Hi all,
So this came from a seven-year-old Easter Egger hen today. It's the first time I've ever seen droppings like this from my birds. She seems to feel perfectly fine, but I thought I should run this by you all just in case it's a sign of trouble. I don't know if it's relevant, but FYI it's been very cold here in eastern PA in the last few days, down in the teens overnight, so that's probably causing the hens some stress.

On a related note: does anyone have that link to the chart of photos of normal droppings that gets mentioned frequently in these threads? I tried searching for it, but couldn't find it.

Thanks,
Joan

Looks like intestinal shedding.

Intestinal shedding is just that - sloughing off the lining of the intestines on occasion.

If there's a lot over a period of days and it's consistent, then getting a fecal float if possible, to see if worms are a problem, is a good idea.
