I am still protecting the name of the hatchery. It is a small hatchery, but is reputable...it is NPIP, etc. I have decided that I will ask for a refund and a credit toward an order of pullets in the spring.

It is too late in the year for me to start over again. I had to brood them in the garage and it is a sacrifice to go through the chick stage with everything else I have going on (sorry, I know that probably sounds selfish).

I am still working on resolving this. I forgot to follow up today. My son is detasseling corn and I have lost track of what day it is (they work those kids every single day of the week, rain or shine!)

I am still so bummed about this and am full of doubts about whether I want to continue "doing chickens". I have teenage boys and it is an ugly chapter in my life right now. Too bad I LOVE CHICKENS so much!

I hope the hatchery will refund your money. Don't give up on raising chickens! Maybe you could buy started pullets if you dont want to deal with chicks again?
