I have looked at other posts and I'm really confused on these. Is the bigger cupped wattles the males? The white quineas are really aggressive to the 2 pearls. Does this mean anything? or are they just bossy women?

The best way to tell gender with guineas is not appearance--it is the sounds they make. Females make a two-syllable call (although they do occasionally use only one syllable). Males ONLY use one syllable calls. If you hear a two syllable "buck-wheat! buck-wheat!" you have a girl. If you only hear "buck! Buck! buck!" you have a boy.

I would say the two white are female and the purple a male. Yes, my females seem more pushy than the males and more so now that they are getting ready to lay eggs.

Thanks guys. I would agree with you. The whites are females and the royal purple is male. I haven't heard the white ones do the female call. I have heard a couple of the others do it.
