Please show me photos of your covered (as in with metal or other) runs

This is the patio/shelter/kennel we use to keep our dogs dry. It is overkill I think, but it is not going anywhere. Although I think you get more snow in Okanogan than we do in Issaquah.

Supports are 4x4x8 with 4x6x12 beams attached to the top, and 2x8x12 2ft apart for rafters. Between each rafter are 2x3 about 4ft apart in a straight line toe-nailed across the entire length. On top of those are the wavy pieces used to screw the roof material in. On the back we put up a couple 2x4 and nailed fence boards to provide some wind screen because the prevailing winds tend to come from that direction. The one weakness is in the short direction. I put triangle braces in the back to reduce racking in that direction. With a covered coop you can go much bigger, I was worried about people possibly wacking their head.

Here is our coop and run back when we first built it this past spring... there was still grass in there!
We decided on a metal roof.

, i've put tin on the house and over part of the run. Amazing the sound an acorn falling from 30 feet will make on the roof.
