The top middle egg in the bowl is from my Saxony duck, but the rest are EE. The almost white eggs are from EE hens that have been laying pretty much since last February. Their eggs were darker and prettier, but have faded. When they molt and quit for a while, their eggs should all go back to their original color.

The birds are really nice to look at too. Come in many color patterns. They've been the friendliest chicken breed I've had so far. Mine mostly lay powder blue like those shown here, and occasionally a lightly green tinted one. I hear they can lay other tints too, depends on their genetics. Lots of info in the archives on EEs.

My EEs are great layers. I wish I had more of them. Ironically, they are laying way better than my RIRs and Leghorns.

These are two of my girls first eggs they just laid the other day. The brown one is from Lacey, my SLW, and the blue one is from Eliza, my EE.

The two brown eggs are from my SLW, the white one from my only Leghorn that is laying right now, and then the four eggs in the middle are all from the same EE hen. She has been laying for awhile now but recently came off her strike. Her eggs used to be small and green, and now they are big and green but recently they have been turning blue! I didn't realize that the same hen could lay different colored eggs. Oh, and the little blue egg is the same egg pictured above... Eliza's first egg. I had it for breakfast this morning.

I haven't been able to get a single picture that actually shows the real color of the eggs.

Mine are green like in the first pictures or the middle eggs of this last picture but that just doesn't show up with my camera.

Oh! Y'all are making me squirm with impatience! My ee's are still too young-18 weeks and I'm dying for green/blue eggs! Congratulations to all of you-those are some gorgeous egg baskets you've got.

The 5 colored eggs in this photo are from my 3 easter eggers. The rest are from white leghorns, barred rocks, a rir, and barnevelders.
