Americana is another name for easter egger so yes he is an Americana. Now if you are asking if he is an Ameraucana, then no. He is a very handsome roo though!

I had an EE roo who looked much like that, really beautiful, but he was MEAN to his girls. Wish he had been a nice one like yours!

Mine was sold as an Ameraucana at the feed store because that is what the hatchery (Ideal) called them -- but I knew he was an EE. If you're really interested, the explanation is on here, but it's a long one.

Technically he is NOT an Ameraucana. Americana is just a misspelling created by hatcheries, but still a false name.

He's an Easter Egger. An Ameraucana has to meet a standard of perfection to be called one. An easter egger is basically an ameraucana cross breed or nonstandard colored ameraucana. He's very handsome though.
