Please tell me my lavender orpington chick is not a cockerel!!!! So confusing!!

Aha tho it was raining here my exact Lavender hens are posted right here on BYC! I googled 15 week LO Pullets and this thread came up

So they have several pics but my Roo has bigger legs tho he is just now getting a waddle. I never could tell my his comb
 
I raise lavender orpingtons. 3-4weeks is too early to be very accurate, but by 8 weeks, we can usually tell. It is true the thicker legs is a good indication of cockerel, but not always. Pullets tend to feather in just slightly faster, but once again, not the most reliable factor. Comb growth and color are the best way until saddle feathers come in. Post some more pictures in about 4-5 weeks.
