When I looked up what age cochins lay. I know some start around 4-5 mo. But for her breed it said 8-9 months everywhere I looked.Where did you hear that?? Pullets can lay at 20 weeks. Even 16 weeks.

Yeah, but thats "typically". Not every chicken falls under that category. I have had some chickens within the same breed lay months later or earlier. Thanks! I was pretty sure she was, but man her comb and wattles have thrown me off since my other 2 pullets still have nothing. Will be interesting to see if she lays "early" for her breed or not.Yep, pullet! Beautiful chickens.
