That is 10000% rooster, no waiting required. Too young for hackle feathers, but the color and comb = boy. Plus, he's crowing now.

I was afraid that would be the case I kept two of the 15 chicks we hatched and this one was the quietest, most laid back one of them all- was sure it would be a hen -- till those tail feathers started coming in. He'll have to be exchanged No roos allowed. Too bad- he was my favorite.
