Please tell me this is a hen!!!! PuuuuuhLEEAASSEEE!!!! 4 pictures

Definately pullet. I will eat my barn boots if it is a cockerel.

If this photo is of an Americana that is only 14 weeks old then I wouldn't bet the barn boots just yet. I have had them look like a hen up to 20 weeks and turn out to be a rooster. My bet is this is a rooster because of the long neck and the Tail feathers. Keep us informed on this. I may be wrong and I hope I am for your daughters sake.
 
oh man!! i will keep you posted. i will wait until 20 weeks and see. when we brought the chicken in she was clucking. not crowing at all. but i was concerned with the neck and the saddle feathers and the red of her comb. oh man!!! thanks for your help.

I have had them that way too. Sometimes they are easy but I have also had them fool me many times. I sure hope you are right. I wouldn't hold you to eating the barn boots. He He. I thought that was funny.
 
i guess roo.....sorry.....hackle and saddle feathers tell me this. can u take a close up pic of her neck feathers and before the tail feathers?
