please tell me this is a pullet....

this is a chick i got from my salmon faverolle. i am going to say she was with my barred rock roo. can you tell me if she/he is a she because she is so dark colored? she is about five weeks old.

If it's a cross I doubt you could sex it by color with certainty like you can it pure BR chicks.

With that said at 5 weeks it looks kinda girly, no little comb at all, and it does appear to have the coloring of a BR pullet. But I don't really know

i was just looking up its birthday it was dec 1 so i guess we should be able to see something by now.

Well, I wouldn't hold out for eggs in a "few weeks", but maybe in a few months. Looks like a girl to me too.

Girly girl I think, yea since she is a mix the old white spot on the head trick used in BR IDing is a no go.

good because they all have a mess of a spot and that would mean they were all boys...
