Here's the xray. Thankfully it's right at the tip by her nail, so maybe it'll be easier to fix and for recovery. She doesnt seem to be in pain. She's drinking her "souper salad" snack now and her biggest problem is needing a bib.

Well. It's confirmed. Delly will be having part of her foot amputated on Wednesday.

We are also kinda thinking Delly is a male since he is starting to sound a lot like our Lenny did at this age. So we may be calling her Dexter. Although my husband will not stop calling her Duck Norris.

So far, Delly is less than Keisha's vet bills but by a small margin. I'm trying to convince my husband to become an avian vet, if only to treat our flock.

PS. Delly does not like traffic lights. They're scary.

From her toenail up to her knuckle. Not very much, but enough for her to have to adjust a bit. Some of her webbing needs to be trimmed to the length of her toe. I'm not sure how they will do that. We'll let you know.... Hoping she does alright with the anesthesia. I'll be waiting nearby to get her as soon as I'm able to.

I think to you're right. She just got home and she's high as a kite. She has "a boot" of tape, gauze, and cardboard reinforcement on for 5 days. On Monday morning we go back to the hospital to remove her sutures.

She's in good spirits, eating, trying to walk, and is finally sleeping.

She's getting plenty of cuddles tonight.

Also... we're 99.9% sure she's a he.

So... his new name is Dexter. Still Delly for short.

He looks like a toy!
