red quills have black spots in them, he is a Black tailed red, OEGB... Ideal sells them a lot. their not very well known but are becoming more popular

You know Black tailed red never crossed my mind. I havent seen many of them around here. Also he is a little darker than a Red quill too.

bsaffles and DTchickens, I have never even heard of either a red quill or a black tailed red. Thanks for the info. I tried to google both of them and nothing really came up for either of those. Do you know were I can find pictures of them??

bsaffles,
As many times as I have been to that site I never noticed the second page of pictures.

My only excuse is that I'm up way past my bed time when I look there.

you can also tell the difference between red quils and others, as red quils will have dark "Black.. or very very close" Eyes.

Found a picture of a black tailed red pullet. From Leslie, Also on the OEGBCA hope she doesn't mind, i can always take it off if she does

DTchickens, thanks for the pics. and the info. I hope that my little guy grows up to be half as beautiful as those guys are.

shmooborp, Peewee would be a really good name for him but unfortunately that name belongs to my really bratty, very very full of himself, fawn duckwing OEGB.
