Its pretty impossible to only ship 4 chicks. Also at that price someone will actually pay to send you birds with shipping. maybe you should put an add on craigslist and see if anyone local has any you might have more luck.

Shipping chicks is a bit more costly than $10.

You may also want to make a relevant title as well as putting what you're wanting in the title, and your location in the title as well.

When I ordered my chicks (they were two weeks old ) the shipping was around $30.​

I live in Orange COunty, NY, which is really not far from you - there are a lot of local farms here that sell the chicks, eggs, hens and roosters of many different breeds. I'm checking one out tomorrow. If you want the name/number of a few, I can send it to you. It's probably cheaper to get from a local farm than to have them mailed

You might try posting what you are looking for and where you are located in the title of your post. You are more likely to get cheaper chickens if you pick them up locally rather then have them shipped. Best of luck.
