PLEEEAASE! Someone tell me this is a hen!

Several actually! They've made it more affordable now to have a silkie DNA testing lab right in your own home. A friend of mine on BYC does it now for herself and friends. That still cost her a couple thousand I believe to get started, but much less than it used to be. It once was $20 per chick, now they're as low as $5 I've seen.

I had asked a friend of mine if about it, he is in the science field. I would love to be able to do DNA testing. Would your friend have any info on courses to get started with??

I don't have any hard to sex breeds but if I did I'd build a rooster pen for the bachelors.That's what most people do who keep more roosters than they need.Some you can always sell later and others give away.
