So, have you rescued any of the ducks and/or geese?? I went to a local park after calling the parks & recreation people and they said that the geese were just ones that people had dropped off and that I could take them if I wanted. So later I went up there and corralled the geese up and grabbed the closest two and loaded them up in pet carriers in the back of my suv. The next thing I know a couple of people are asking me what Im doing to them ducks and I told them that they are geese and I was taking them to my farm where they would have a better and safer home with real food and shelter. They told me I better get out of there before they call the cops. So I proceeded to go down the park road to turn around and when I made it back to where them people were, all 3-4 of them were standing in the middle of the road to block me and a man walked out from behind a car holding a badge and told me I had about 3 seconds to get the birds out of my vehicle or he was calling the cops and the conservation department. So I put my vehicle in park and let the geese out and the man with the badge was like your lucky I didn't call the cops because you would have been fined for about $350 per bird. I did not want to argue with him, so I left after I let the geese out. I think he thought they were wild geese because the department of conservation cant do anything about domestics, can they?? And he wasnt even a cop, I have no idea what he was but he was wearing dress clothes and a tie... This whole situation made me feel so stupid about myself and I was very outraged at the him and the other people there.... Sorry for such a long description but thats the only way I could describe it understandably.

Some people don't have the knowledge to know what is best for the geese. It would have been nice if you could have given them a good home.

My niece had a mallard hatch out babies in her back yard. They had no way to get out and a coyote had killed her dog in that yard so she knew they weren't safe. She wanted me to take them but when I asked I was told it was a felony to remove them and they would die. It just didn't make sense. They wanted her to call for ideas on coyote - proofing her yard. She didn't even want them.
