PLS HELP!!! Hen cant control her head or keep it up right PLS HELP!!!!!!!!!!

chickenbuttsowhat - You can go to the feed store or tractor supply and ask for something different. I can't remember the details - but Sulmet covers a lot of different ailments. There's also a water soluble packet, from Durvet, I think - can't remember what it is, it covers a few problems too....

trifecta - I think it may be the malnutrition. Also, it's a little cockerel, not a hen. I really need him for a breeding program I'm trying to get started. He's my backup roo......His brother will be my primary for the program. He's gotten a lot better, still a little wobbly (he can't scratch without falling over). None of my other birds seem to be feeling bad, but I'm watching carefully.... I'm exhausted from the caregiving and worry - over a chicken! If he does pass, I will have him necropsied, I'm curious what it is I've been dealing with and why nobody else in the flock is feeling it....

Thanks to everyone, I'll post again on Tuesday for an update - Good thread, I hope I didn't de-rail or hi-jack too bad

I mentioned in other threads, my chicken couldn't move her leg and couldn't lift her head - like she had a stroke. Her condition improved drastically after I gave her just about 1/2 tsp of organic unrefined coconut oil. Egg yolk force fed with a syringe helped another chicken

i'll have to try that ya that whats it reminds me of its like she had a stroke today she finaly made her cluck sound like she used to, i was making fun of my husband and i think she was laughing at him too lol she also was trying to walk around but her head still goes to the right so all she did was go in circle and flapped around i fixed it then 10 mins later its back to the right again behind her back *sigh* but im going to keep helping her fight to get better and do chicken therapy with her lol i dont care if she wont ever lay an egg again aslong as i can get her to be able to walk normal as she can and eat/drink on her own i'll keep her just as a pet

im so happy right now plymouth not turning her head 180 to the right resting her head on her back. shes trying to keep it straight best she can it still goes to the right but just a lil im so happy for her and i thank god
