pls help sick birds

The Sulmet is about $10. Corid is awesome for Cocci also, and is $19.99 at my local feed store. I would call TSC back (or your local feed store) and if they don't have either of those two, I would ask what they DO have! Cocci is so common and fatal, I can't believe they don't have anything for it!!

Oh, and for the record, I had my chicks on medicated chick start (Purina Premium) and they got it anyway. I have nothing to back this but my own opinion and that is the medicated feed is supposed to lessen the risk, but not 100% effective. Just like the vaccine for Marek's doesn't make them Immune, just increases their chances of not getting it. If that makes sense.

This store TSC store:
912 S Park St
Carrollton, GA
(770) 832-3536

has one left and Horace is holding it at the register for you. Call to confirm before you drive to get it.

The meds that you have (neo med 325 soluble powder) will *not* treat coccidiosis.

And please don't delay...it's a matter of hours between hunched shoulders and death. Prompt treatment truly is a matter of life and death.

I can't stress enough that the quicker you move on this the better. By the time you see blood in their poop, the disease has already been in their systems 2 days. It takes an avg of 5 days from infection until death. It's pretty serious business.
