pls help???

just looking for a little more advice really, if my eggs were jumping around and now moving a little for some and not at all for the others are they dead or are they just to big to move now?

ive only seen 3 of the 5 in the bator moving and now only one is moving a little, im on day 26?

They are silkie eggs im getting really impatiant

Are you sure you're on Day 26? If you are and they're still moving then there is something seriously wrong with your heat setting...get a new thermometer. I doubt that any will hatch this late. I would crack open the end where the air cell is...if you see movement then put it back, but otherwise I'd say they're done. Sorry...

ok then, hows the best way to crack open the end?

Just tap the big end with something hard...I usually use a spoon to crack it, then peel away the shell over the air cell until you can see throuh the membrane. If the membrane is white (dry) you can moisten it with some water so you can see into it. If the chick is alive it should be moving around quite a bit.

ok, so i have cracked one of the eggs and there seems to be a little movement in there. she is encased in the membrane which is covered in healthy looking veins and there is a small ammount of yellow. Is this the yolk?

I would not open them until you candle them. That's my thought.

What's your humidity?? IF your temp is off a couple of degrees, there's no telling what the humidity is.
