I like that crest on the roo...so unique.

If you breed a legorn to him, would you start getting the legbar or is there something else in the mix? Might be something to consider since I know some people that are legbar fans.

Here is a video I took today of my 2011 rooster and my 2012 pullets (silver penciled plymouth rocks playing in the fallen leaves). Pullets aren't laying yet . . . I'm looking forward to some fresh eggs. The store bought ones just don't seem fresh!

The book says they mature early. The Dominikers she came with have been laying for 2 months now.

Yes, congratulations on your new baby chicks. I don't have a warm enough place to keep chicks this time of year, so I'll be waiting until next April before hatching any more. Can you tell right away the difference between the pullets and roos?
