I agree as over the last week I have only been getting a egg every couple day from my 2 Horstman line 8 month old Silver Penciled Plymouth Rock pullets. I thought that was a low number of eggs in a weeks time so today I looked behind their nest box and this is what I found.

I am considering switching from BR's to SPR's.

Those look light brown on my screen. Just a tad lighter than my Rocks.

Justine is correct, the eggs are light brown in color.

Yes, I said my rocks, as my line of rocks lay a little darker than Clayton's Rocks. Not that they were a different breed.
