halo on BYC has some. I will in the spring I hope. tigercreek can make them and Brookhaven has them. tigercreek and Brookhaven theirs came from good Shepard barred rock crosses so they are nice quality birds too. tigercreek has some with the best lacing or edging I have ever seen on blue birds. Brookhaven might too....not sure if she has posted many solid bird pics....maybe she will pipe in and tigercreek can repost his pics.

I did. I need to look at them I know one roo is showing silver pretty good amount and the one pullet looks birchen. I was wondering if they would breed true and continue to look birchen????? I could use the pullet since that is a sex linked trait. I know there is another roo in that pen.....I need to find him and see what he is expressing. I would like to use them for size if nothing else.

Fred, can you spot the female you liked a few weeks back? I just love her tail. 14 weeks old (almost 15 weeks)























The only one with the orange in him. He's a cull. He'll be good for eating only.

Note the yellow legs here. Note the lack of cushion. Nice!!! She's a bit shallow in the breast, and like most of these SP, her head looks a bit small, but hey!!! She'd be in my breeding pen, that's fo sho.

Look, look, look. Look what a BR pullet should look like. Look at the head!!! Nice and deep in the front, nice tail and let's hope it stiffens soon. What a sweetie. Is she a pure Maine bird, Justine?

Remembering that there is no perfect bird, in this shot we see an area to work on. I would not be able to put my fist between those legs. Just note. That's just something to work on. Narrow between the legs means everything, organ wise, is squished in there. We want a Rock to be a rock. Wide between the legs.

I like the one Fred picked out AND this one

I'm drawn to her length of back, relatively flat, nice front end developing (should get better with time), lack of cushion and I like her head....nice width of skull, good wing carriage. Feather pattern/color is not my expertise and she is too young to judge there anyway. Only thing I see with her is I can judge width of legs for certain, looks good, but she in in "stride" so hard to tell and I would want her feathers to be tightened up. Hopefully as she develops the tail will lift a bit as it should

Like the pictures and they look very nice. This is what one should expect from PEI CHICKENS nice SPPRs .How many SPPRs do you have males / females?

I see what you mean Fred. I will definitely keep my eye on that.

She's in stride in a lot of these pictures. She is very skittish. As soon as I get close, she is off. I blame it on the hawk.
