Gads I am not looking forward to winter. With 45 chickens here and 4 coops going that is to much work.But on the good side at least I have help and we are thinning out the flock.

This is one of my BR hens. I have 2 hens and a rooster named Bella lol he was supposed to be a hen but showed otherwise so since my 5y/o named him it stuck.![]()
See if you can get a side/profile pix......I agree with Silver Rock that it looks like a pullet to me too. Hatchery type barred rock pullets will often get a comb relatively quickI'm pretty sure, his comb is coming in. I see small spurs also. I will see if I can get him to come up for a picture.
Well.....those tail feathers DO say cockerel. I would say this is a "crossed" bird of some sort.....perhaps to a Dominique?? Not all barred rock, but neat nonetheless
