Jeff,One of the prettiest pyle roosters I ever saw was out of a broiler hen(cornishX) and a BBR game cock he was awesome too a great flock-watcher.
FYI those cornish Xs are bred to be dominant white so you can't expect much color from the offspring from that concoction. all will be white with flecks(leakage) of black or red here there and yonder.

We jumped into the SPPR's blind and I was calling them the ugly ducklings! The BT BR's looked gorgeous and those SPPR's were just yuck, until they grew.
