Plymouth Rock thread!

They are good layers too.  I am getting 2-3 eggs a day from my 4 pullets.  I have to hatch them.... I NEED to hatch them.... they are fertile from the solid Blue roo but not the Black yet.  Not giving up but I do still have Scott's black with silver leaking as a back up if needed.

I can't wait to inject your pullets blood into my line. I am not looking for show quality but trying to get closer to the standard with good egg production. I have had some so called barred rocks that were not even close. More like a leghorn.

Got my first egg from my barred girl from tigercreek yesterday. Now just waiting for the black and splash to start. Then hopefully my columbian Dixie that i got from scott. Hatched them a little i am new to that so i had to light them to get them to start. But they have started. Yeah!

Congrats!

Yesterday I picked up 2 white rock hens ( a little over 1 ) and a young cockerel. I will try and get pictures of them and post them, but they are still skitish around me. Plus I was given two of their eggs to put in my incubator, along with a few others.

Here are a few pictures of the White Rocks I got on Friday. They are still unsure if they are going to like me or not. I also have 2 of their eggs in the incubator right now. They aren't huge, but I think they have pretty good type, I will try to get better pictures eventually though, because the pictures dont really do them justice.

I was also given this cockerel, he is 3 or 4 months old
