Hey Punky, got a question for you about your SPPRB
I am raising Silver Penciled large fowl, and have noticed that grey/slate colour scales on the legs is this a problem with bantams to? and just to make sure i am not going crazy the leg colour should be yellow right?

Ok, thought so. That is one thing i am going to try and breed out. I only have one hen with a lot of them on her legs (the front on both her legs for about half way up or so). But the roosters and other 4 hens are almost solid yellow legs.
What would I get with a columbian rock rooster on a white rock hen?I only have a pair of columbian rocks so I thought I'd throw a white rick hen in the pen with them. They are standards birds.
I have a question or two for anyone out in Plymouth Rock land about White Plymouth Rocks?
I know that some White's are dominant and some are recessive white. Are the one that hatch out with a grayish smuggie look to them recessive or a dominate white? And, would they be consider a silver gene if they are recessive or dominant? Just asking seeing if they would make good sexlink chicks. I know that they are not suppose to be the best choice for sexlinks, but I have them and would like to be able touse them as such if they have the right genes.
It depends on what kind of chickens you have. if they came from a hatchery then its hard to tell if they are standard breed birds you may get barreds or columbian. Where did you get your birdsfrom? bob
