My big girl, Lola! She's 21 weeks and I'm hoping for some eggs from her soon! Such a sweet bird and she sounds more like a goose than a chicken..oh well! Vocal girl..lol!

do all barred rocks have a single comb? I was sold a BR who has a rose comb, so I now think they were wrong & she's a dominique. I was also sold a black sex link hen who I thought was going to end up a roo because it was barring but now I;m pretty sure she may just be a BR hen & the feed store just totally messed up! Both look almost identical except for the combs.

As I understand it a rose comb should be a Dominique. Dominiques are a little smaller than a Rock and lay a smaller egg as well, at least by APA standards.
