Plz Help. Is my chick a he or she?

Everything suggests one male one female. The heavily feathered (comparatively), stouter, longer bird with pale comb and tiny waddles is female.
Are these two from the same cross?
If so, hen would have been a barred rock. Roo would have contributed the white feet with dark surface to his daughters...

Sunshine0235 should I be worried about my other chicken (Dixie Chic) I knew that busy one was a boy. (Piper) He is to busy, always up to something. While Dixie chic is very layed back and sweet.

Pa2chitown I believe they are only a week apart. I was told they are both Barred Rock chickens.

Where did you get them from? Being a week apart I'm guessing they're not from a hatchery? The white skin on the female is what lead me to say she's a Marans, not a Rock. It will be interesting to see what color eggs she lays.

I got them from this guy who raises chickens here in town. Do you mean her white legs. (Lol) I have no clue. This wwill be interesting.

Yep, her white legs. Marans have white skin/legs, Rocks have yellow. White skin is also dominant over yellow, so she may be a Marans or she may be a mix.

Will the seller let you return the cockerel? Or are you good to keep a rooster?

I called the guy yesterday. He is will to swap him for another baby but I must wait a week. He says he has some in the incubator. Hopefully I get a hen and not a Roo. I like him but can't keep him. To noisy for the neighbors. Thxs for the info. I looked up Marans. You are right she looks like a Maran or maybe just a tan on those legs. Ha ha ha

Well, that's great the seller is willing to help you out. I hate to see folks get stuck with male chicks they can't keep
