On the drive down from Chiang Mai to Chiang Khong we were able to see the White Temple at sunset. We couldn't enter but I was thrilled to get these pictures. It was mesmerizing in person!

We crossed from Thailand to Laos on the Friendship Bridge IV then bordered a long boat for a two-day cruise down the Mekong arriving in Luang Prabang.

Good morning (on my end) Cafe. I can't find coffee but in all fairness I left my room at 3:30! Wanted to go for a little walk down to the pool.

They are having more problem here with measles here.
People had stopped getting it not it is on the rise again.

Same over here with measles...the news says that because the vaccination rate has reduced and we are traveling more than ever before.

I wonder how many lives the shutdown and mandates saved...?

When the 1st shut down happened, many people still going to work out of necessity, the bill have to be paid. So there was an outbreak.

The government then gave people A$1,500 fortnightly as wages so people stay home in locked down.

There were so many people end up with covid and the hospital was not able to cope, the doctors and nurses were sick with covid also, so the lockdown is the only way to reduce the infection, people end up in the hospital.

On the news at the time China was having their sick people outside the streets, no room in hospital and not enough health care people to care for these people.

God, I hope we will never have this type of illness again! Never ever!!!

Good Morning

Thank you @DobieLover for sharing those beautiful photos. We are also traveling with you through your photos.

Oh, coffee is so ready, the sun is coming out a bit, the sky is more blue than cloudy, no rain yet this morning. We have had 3 consecutive days of steady gentle rain that resulted in the ground fully soaked to the core....not muddy yet, but it will be if this rain continued.

Anyway......the weather is more of autumn than summer...Oh joy, oh joy. Welcome autumn!!
