PO lost eggs, all I got was, "I am sorry."

Sometimes i think the PO has a 2000 pound goat sittin at the end of the converyor belt eating some of the packages. They get lost ALOT.

This isn't the sellers fault and if you bought from an auction that didn't say it would insure, you took that risk. I don't insure mine because I just don't want to deal with it, if the buyers don't like it, they don't have to bid.
I think you have a great seller there because they did refund you for the eggs. Lucky you.

I really wish USPS would get their **** together on tracking, some of these people receive their package and go immediately to check on status and then try to con. And Ebay and Paypal has been so accommodating to the scam artists.

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions. I will know in the future to add insurance on ANY shipments, I assumed that was all included, obviously I was WRONG. A lesson learned is how I will view this. In the future I will certainly be more aware and ask more questions about shipping ANYTHING I am sending or receiving.

When were the eggs mailed? A couple of times I've had eggs take 8 days to get to me. I didn't have a good hatch, but both times I did have a couple hatch.

Before buying anything via net

ask what is the method of shipping ei next day second day priority
ask if insurance is included

if there is no insurance or WONT be offered i would steer clear or offer to pay but you will only REALLY get reimbursed for undelivered packages

they say they will reimburse if the package has extreme damage but then again its more or less a personal opinion of the postal worker whether or not if it was extreme damage

UPDATE!!!

Came home, changed clothes, did chores and started dinner. Just for giggles I thought I would check my tote on the front porch where all my packages are delivered to. Lo and behold, the missing package was no longer missing but delivered!!! It was sent 9-9-09 and I finally received it on 9-17-09. I immediately emailed the sender and told her I did receive the package, wanted to let her know the good news. Just hoping and praying to get anything to hatch from these eggs. I know that the eggs took 4 days for the seller to collect 2 dozen eggs, then add the time for delivery...just gonna cross my fingers and be thankful I even got the eggs.
