Your inspiration: The passing of my grandmother

As The World Goes By
I always think of you
And all the H*** we've been through
Of sudden tradgedy and fear
That always seems so near
As pain and other things
Spread like angel wings
I watch the September sky
Waiting, as the world goes by
Silently slipping away

You kill me when you kiss me
Because I know you won't miss me
You will be happy way up there
Where every feature is fair
You sit with Him up there
Acting as if unaware

Your inspiration: I can't remember. I think it was after my "Poppy" (non biological grandfather) died

As I Set By My Window
As I set by my window,
Staring down lost hope
And lost dreams
I took it slow
Or that it seems
For all that I know
The sun will not rise
As I see a want
Wonder if it's wise
Or will it forever haunt
As I set by my window
I hate myself the most
I hate my ways
I hate the ones that gloat
As I was wrong on days
As I set by my window
I just wonder why
What have I done
To mope as the day goes by
Why won't there be sun

Watch me peck the Carolina sand
Watch me eat melon from your hand
Watch me, watch me, oh mommy please!
I want to be your free t.v.
All you have to do is watch me
See me grow from a white shell
For 21 days, there I dwell

I'm older now and feathers are full
And I know to you, I'm still cool

So do this old gal a favor
