Polish and their cresthearing their crest

Need some basic info on their crest from experienced people, this is my first time EVER owning polish and I remember hearing their crest can’t get wait and if they do they need to be dried?It honestly sounded extra as we have a farm around the corner who owned tons of these birds and I doubt they took every bird in and dried their crest, they were also given the birds because the neighbors were moving,so they really hadn’t had birds before.Asking as I have a little polish who her crest is a bit damp,not completely damp just the top.The other birds preen it for her.

My polish get wet. They do fine. You just need to watch and make sure other birds don't peck at the crest. During the adult molt you may need to help them remove the feather sheaths from their new feathers.
