can anyone tell me why my polish chick has a crooked Mohawk? Is the feather just not in on one side? He (I think a he but not sure) is only 7 weeks but his tail will sometimes sit to the side and the Mohawk poof he has just seems crooked. Opinions...

 That is one funny looking mohawk but I think that is a pullet. I am no expert on polish so I'll just follow up on it. :pop

My Dinah’s mohawk is a bit crooked, too. I just figured it is how her hair is. I have been trimming it on the one side, though, since the weight seems to push down on her upper eyelid. Other than that, she seems fine :).

You can trim it so that it looks less crooked and it's not weighing on one side of its head, or you can just wait it out and see how it affects it.

So cool reminds me of a top hat or one of the christmas soldiers black hats (not sure what those are called lol)
I just got 5 Polish chicks at the feed store last week. They were labled as Gold Laced Polish but Im thinking they are blue with white crest, black w whitecrest, and buff laced from the way they are feathering in lol. I am goingvto have to find the official Polish Thread so I can post them there so others can tell me for sure what they are lol.

Mine are golden laced. Such beautiful little things. Full of character too.

They seem to be good little fliers - only a week old and got their primary wing feathers and already flying up on top of their tall waterer.

The polish females head and tail feathers tend to be rounded and block sight while the males feathers will be pointed and out of the way of the eyes allowing for sight, my money would be on that bird crowing soon :)
